Tonight's episode is called "Into you like a Train". Meredith awaits Shep's ultimate decision. A gruesome train accident floods the E.R. with patients. Addison tells Izzie that she sees a lot of potential in her with they work on a badly burned pregnant mother, but Izzie is torn between supporting Meredith and taking a step forward in her career.

Last episode pulled in just over 13 million households which is a bit of a drop. CSI Miami eeked out a win.

This week's episode is called "Bring the Pain". Dr. Shepherd tries to save a young girl's life by convincing her father to allow him to operate, meanwhile our favorite boys Alex and George have to save a man's life by operating in an elevator. Derek is also pushed to choose between Meredith and his ex. I've seen the episode and it is "top-notch"! Definitely make sure you tune in.

Last episode did rather well with 19 MILLION views! Although around 7million people tuned out after DH, Grey still did great.

WHEW! The season Premiere of GA absolutely DOMINATED! Around 20 Million people watched our favorite docs on their boob-tubes this week. This is great news considering a lot of doubters in the industry said that GA was just a first season 'fluke'...yeah right!

WOW. The Season finale was AMAZING. It had a record high viewer audience of 22.2 MILLION! That is VERY impressive.

Shonda Rhimes (creator of GA) has been given a 2 year deal with Touchstone Productions (the ppl. who produced Grey's Anatomy). No word yet on the numbers, but she is rumored to have been rewardly very nicely. She sure deserves it!

GREAT news! ABC has decided to keep Grey on at 10pm following Desperate! This means strong lead in numbers and continued show success! Good job ABC!

May 6th
On May 17th, ABC is going to announce their Fall 2005-2006 line-up. This will be the moment of truth...keep your fingers crossed that Grey's ends up in the same slot behind DH.

May 4th
Grey's anatomy has already been picked up for NEXT SEASON!!! This is really quite suprising...NOT that it was picked up (b/c it is kicking butt in the ratings) but that the announcement came so early. Just goes to show how much ABC loves the show. So fans can rest assured of at least another 13 episodes next season with most likely at least 17 airing. Now, the only thing left to decide is will they keep it in the same 'golden' timeslot behind Desperate Housewives? Lost, DH, and Boston Legal have also been picked up early for next season...no suprises there.

Here is another USA today article talking about the recent success of medical dramas, as well as all the medical shows under development for next season...and who says network execs can't think originally. . .

"The world of the hospital is familiar enough for everybody, but the new shows approach it from different angles than we're used to seeing," says Grey's creator, Shonda Rhimes.

Grey's medical stories serve only as a device to reflect the personal lives of the five surgical residents, she says. "Patients are almost never as important as the main characters."

ABC has made a VERY smart move and has decided not to bring back Boston Legal this season in favor of capitalizing on the strong success of Grey's Anatomy. GA will stay in the coveted Sunday spot right behind Desperate Housewives.

Greys Anatomy continues to to pump life into ABC Sundays with a ratings share of 12.3/20.0 with over 19 million viewers! Let's hope these strong numbers continue and that they are not entirely due to the lead in audience of DH.
